Everyone at Action Station is celebrating today after receiving £50,000 from the Barbour Foundation. Chair, Dr Angela Lishman said “this funding will go a long way to securing our future, its fantastic news and everyone involved or using Action Station would like to say a big thank you”.
Paul Tann a volunteer and centre user said “ I am really grateful for this funding it means I can carry on accessing Employment Support, supporting others and using all the other services that are provided, I would have nowhere to go if the centre closed, they have helped me gain several qualifications and build up my self-confidence”.
Action Station provides access to training education and employment support and offers volunteer and work placement opportunities as well as a range of social activities.
